James (Jim) W. Heptinstall
With more than 45 years of experience in the manufacturing environment Jim’s experience includes site management of five progressively larger, more complex chemical manufacturing sites, corporate manufacturing management, and global manufacturing improvement management.
Prior to joining Productivity Inc., Jim worked for 25 years in the Global Chemical Manufacturing Industry holding successive senior corporate leadership positions in manufacturing excellence, world class manufacturing deployment, and team-based improvement activities.
While working with Solvay/Rhodia, he trained, coached, and mentored managers and teams at numerous manufacturing sites in the Toyota Production System (TPS-WCM) and led the successful Lean transformation of multiple value-streams.
Jim is a seasoned trainer/facilitator of various TPS-WCM tools such as Work Place Organization (5S and Visual Management), Total Production Maintenance (TPM - FEI, AM, P&S, EEC), Quick Change-Over (SMED), Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), Problem Solving (RCFA), Supervisory Leadership Skill Building, and Cross Functional/Multiple Level Team Building
