Sorry to take so long in responding. My computer hard drive crashed and I was speaking at the ASQ Lean & Six Sigma Conference.
Whenever we begin working with a company, I always ask the following question:
What is the problem that you are trying to solve?
Unfortunately, some companies begin their continuous improvement journey by selecting a program instead of understanding their goals and problems.
If you do not have standard work in place, then Job Instruction is a good place to begin.
If you have standard work in place, but need a structured way to improve the process, then Job Methods is the correct tool to use.
If your supervisors don't have good supervisory skills, then Job Relations is a great tool.
What challenges does your company face?
PS, If you prefer, you can contact me directly by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Welcome to Auburn Works! I see you have joined the TWI group. As one of the TWI Certified Trainers at Auburn, I'd be glad to hear your thoughts on the topic.
Are you familiar with TWI? Have you personally used TWI programs in your work?
Keep in touch.
