The 5th annual conference will be held on February 12th & 13th, 2015 (Thursday & Friday before the President’s Day Holiday). This year’s event will be held at the Auburn Marriott Opelika Hotel & Conference Center at Grand National, Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
We are excited to announce that Dr. David Altig will provide the Economic Update. Dr. Altig is the Executive Vice President and Director of Research, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He provided an informative and entertaining National and Regional Economic Update for our last conference and has agreed to participate in our next event.
We are also pleased to announce that Christopher Cole has committed to provide the Washington, DC Update. Chris is the Senior Vice President and Senior Regulatory Counsel for the Independent Community Bankers of America. He is very informed on pending financial industry legislation and does a great job conveying the issues. This should be an unusually interesting session as our event follows the 2014 November elections.
We are also excited about a new addition to our event……….
We are hosting the Bank Director 101 Conference presented by The State of Alabama State Banking Department.
John Harrison, Superintendent of Banks and Trabo Reed, Deputy Superintendent of Banks will select critical topics, create the agenda and make the presentations with the goal of re-enforcing the importance of the fiduciary responsibilities and personal liabilities of bank directors. This event is tailored to first year bank directors but will be very informative to “veteran” directors and to directors from other states. This event will be on the morning of February 12th and held at the same location as our annual conference. Those who attend Bank Director 101 are encouraged to stay for the bank directors’ college.
